Sonata
Taktakishvili's extensive oeuvre, which uses a moderately modern musical language enriched with elements from Georgian folklore, includes six operas, three oratorios, cantatas, song cycles, two symphonies, concertos for piano, violin and violoncello. Among his rather rare chamber music works, the Sonata for Flute and Piano has also become known abroad.
