3. Sonata in G Major

Friedrich Benda was the eldest son of the famous composer Franz Benda, from which he also received his first musical instruction. In addition to his compositional achievements he excelled primarily as a pianist and violinist. In the years 1765-1810 Benda served as Royal Prussian chamber musician at the court in Potsdam. The Benda family is still active in the music scene.
