"Danse de la chèvre" is a remarkable solo composition for flute from 1921. This piece is one of the Swiss composer's best-known works. It is a lyrical and at the same time virtuoso performance that explores the flute's diverse sound possibilities.

Honegger belonged to the "Groupe des Six", which played an important role in the development of contemporary music in the 1920s.
